From the first quote to the payment record.

When a service needs a custom price, keep the proposal and the client response in the same workspace. scopebook helps you prepare quotes, follow their status and give clients access to their payment documents.

Build a clear service proposal

Create a quote with line items, quantities, prices and notes. Keep it as a draft while you prepare the details, then send it to the client. This gives both sides a concrete description of the proposed work and the amount to review.

Let the client respond in their portal

Clients can accept a quote, decline it or request changes with a comment. You can revise the proposal and send a new version when the scope changes. The decision stays linked to the quote instead of being buried in a separate email conversation.

Collect eligible payments after acceptance

With the required features and payment setup, accepted one-time quotes can collect a deposit followed by the remaining balance. Online payments depend on an activated payment account and its configuration. Recurring quote payments are not part of this flow.

Keep invoices available after payment

Clients can view paid transaction invoices and download their documents. Your team can consult the corresponding payment records and refunds. This flow supports the service transaction; review your accounting requirements separately before replacing an existing bookkeeping or invoicing system.

Frequently asked questions

Can a client ask for changes before accepting?
Yes. The client can submit a change request from the quote. Your team can prepare a revised version and send it back for a new decision.
Does scopebook charge every accepted quote automatically?
No. Acceptance and payment are separate steps. Online collection depends on the quote type, the configured payment stages and the features available to your business.
Which currency does this payment flow use?
The current payment flow uses Canadian dollars and requires a Canadian billing address. Check that this matches your clients before enabling online collection.
